Jamey Johnson Chats About His Forthcoming Album
Jamey Johnson is set to release his new album, titled The Guitar Song, due in stores September 14. The Guitar Song is a 25-song double album with thematically linked sets of songs dubbed the Black Album and the White Album. “The original idea was always to do a double album,” says Johnson. “It is an album that is a tale. The first part is a very dark and sordid story. Then everything after that is progressively more positive, reassuring and redemptive.” There is much anticipation from music fans as well as the industry for Johnson’s follow-up album to his Grammy-nominated That Lonesome Song. Johnson is already receiving critical acclaim for his new release. Check out the video below to hear him talk about his upcoming release:

I’m interested to hear more from the album. Jamey is a little too dark for me. Hopefully the positive songs are actually positive as he describes.
Good video!
